HATDS is a membership organization, although membership is not required for attendance at our dances.
Membership dues support the administration of HATDS. Web hosting, newsletter printing and mailing, supplies for the dances, and sound equipment maintenance and replacement are some of the items supported by dues. Dues also provide us with a cushion when dances do not break even, as is often the case.
In return for their support, members receive a discount at regular dances and at Bayou Bedlam. Members can receive our newsletter in the mail, get a special name tag for use at the dances, have voting privileges, and may serve on our board of directors.
The HATDS Membership Year runs from September 1st through August 31st.

How to Join
You may join online using PayPal, or fill in the form online, print it out, and mail it or bring it to a dance. Membership forms are also available at any dance.
In accordance with state law, HATDS holds an annual meeting of the membership where short "state of the corporation" reports are given and a new board of directors is elected. This meeting usually occurs at a slightly extended break at a dance in May.
