Home Hospitality
Limited home hospitality is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Although we will surely try, we simply can not guarantee that we will be able to provide hospitality to everyone who requests it. Request hospitality through the registration process.
If you are in the Houston area and can offer hospitality, please email BB12@hatds.org.
The hall is in zip 77022 and there are several motels near there. You may prefer to go west to the Brookhollow Courtyard, the Brookhollow Springhill Suites, or the Brookhollow Sheraton—all at the T. C. Jester exit on the North Loop.
There is ongoing construction at Hwy. 290 and I-610 that affects all of the service roads.
Hall Location
We are dancing in a new hall this year!
All dance events—even the Sunday brunch and dance—will take place at the old Knights of Columbus hall at 607 E. Whitney, 77022. This is just north of the I-610 North Loop and just west of I-45. It is due north of Sokol Hall by less than three miles.
There are two halls at this location. We will be using the smaller, older hall. It is the wood frame building near the entrance to the property by the picnic tables. There is ample parking in the back. The entrance to the hall is also in the back.
This older hall, built in the 1940s, has a sprung wood floor!

Directions
Travelling south on I-45 from Dallas or the airport: take the Airline exit, go south on Airline, and turn right on E. Whitney. It's the first street south of the light.
Travelling north on I-45 from downtown Houston: take the Crosstimbers exit, turn left under the freeway, turn right on Airline and then left on E. Whitney.
You can also take either the N. Main or Airline exits off of the North Loop and go north to E. Whitney. North Main dead ends at Whitney; turn right onto E. Whitney. From Airline, turn left onto E. Whitney.
If you're coming in on Hwy. 290 from Austin or College Station, be aware that there is construction at 290 and I-610. The ramp from 290 to I-610 east bound is down to one lane, but should not be a major problem in the evening. If you prefer, you can take the W. 43rd exit off of 290, go east under the freeway, and travel through the neighborhoods for about 5.7 miles. West 43rd becomes Crosstimbers at N. Shepherd. Turn left on Yale or N. Main and then right on E. Whitney.
What happened to Oxford Hall?
Mike and Alice sold their property on Oxford and have moved into a house on a larger lot. They will be building a new hall on their new lot but not in time for BB 2012.
The silver lining is this: The Knights of Columbus hall has an alcove where we can eat so tables don't have to be cleared for dancing. There are covered picnic tables adjacent to the hall. There is also a back porch on the hall; weather permitting, we'll serve there and eat outside—just as we did at Oxford Hall.
