What's Bayou Bedlam?
Bayou Bedlam is the Houston, Texas weekend of contra dancing, food, and friendship. It takes place every February and features nationally known bands and callers.
Every Bayou Bedlam features a Friday night dance, various workshops during the day on Saturday, a Saturday buffet lunch, a Saturday night dance, and a fabulous, famous Sunday brunch and dance.
See our Gallery page for photos from recent Bayou Bedlam weekends.
Bayou Bedlam is produced by the Houston Area Traditional Dance Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. For information about HATDS, the regular contra dances in Houston, or contra dancing in general, see the HATDS web site at hatds.org.
We love volunteers!
Please help make Bayou Bedlam a success by volunteering a little bit of time over the weekend. See the list of opportunities in the sidebar on the schedule page.

We are thrilled to present Philadelphia's Scott Higgs calling to House Red from the mid-Atlantic region, plus a special treat Saturday afternoon: Andrea Katz and Kendall Rogers playing for Scott's English dance session. Won't you join us?
