Once a year HATDS throws a weekend-long contradance party called Bayou Bedlam. This year's party takes place on Presidents' Day weekend, February 15, 16, and 17, and everyone's invited!
BB08 features the band KGB from Seattle and caller Carol Ormand from Wisconsin. Houston's own Joseph Pimentel, Fred Todt, Kendall Rogers, and Perfect 5th will also add their talents to the dance mix.
As usual we'll provide lunch on Saturday and brunch on Sunday, prepared and served by chef Alice Bohlae and her magnificent team of helpers.
We'll again dance in centrally-located Sokol Hall with it's wonderful air conditioning — and we're sure to need it, even in February. The weekend will conclude with the very popular Sunday brunch and dance at Oxford Hall that features an open mic for callers and an open band for musicians.
